Philippa was raised on a cattle station outside of Charters Towers and completed primary schooling via correspondence before attending high school at All Souls’ and St Gabriel’s as a boarder. Philippa then went on to complete a Bachelor of Biomedical Science at Griffith University before finishing her Masters in Clinical Audiology at the University of Queensland in 2003.
Philippa moved to Cairns in late 2003 taking on her first placement as an Audiologist in a private practice before starting the Cairns Audiology Group with her colleague Gerard Del Favero at the end of 2008.
Since this time Philippa has gained a great deal of experience in providing audiological services to the local Far North Queensland community including the Cape and Torres Straits region with a particular focus in complex diagnostic audiological assessments for all age groups, vestibular function (balance) assessments and paediatric audiology.
Philippa’s current professional interest also extends to tinnitus and hyperacusis assessment and management, acoustic shock injury and neonatal assessment.
Philippa currently operates a fortnightly visiting clinic in Atherton.
